STRIA AT THE RUCKER

There are not many courts like Holcombe Rucker Park in Harlem, NYC. There is deep history behind it bringing names such as Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Allen Iverson, Wilt Chamberlain, and Kevin Durant setting the forefront for streetball. The infamous tournament attracts pro and semi-pro players year round to show out and the summer of 2021 was no exception. I worked with Stria Sport on a 1/1 pair for Xavier Rathan-Mayes to play in for the tournament as well as directing and shooting photos for some recent products that had been released. Some of the photos were shot at a private run for Team YGC where Xavier first laced up the custom pair. Working on this project created lots of noise at the event leading to media coverage and brand awareness for Stria Sport within the event, while team YGC pulled away with an early win in the tournament.
